1.  The available evidence has long shown that the vast majority of Africans participating in the Revolutionary War fought for the British because the British provided the clearest path to freedom for Africans.  Yet, books of this nature often mislead readers into believing that most Africans fought for the colonists.  What  do you feel explains this trend?
